What it is
A food-grade 5-gallon plastic bucket with a honey gate (a controlled-flow nylon valve) installed at the bottom. After extracting and straining, you fill this bucket with honey, let it settle so air bubbles rise out, then dispense into jars through the gate. Holds about 60 lb of honey.
Why this works better than pouring from the extractor
Honey straight from the extractor is full of air and fine debris. Settling for 24-48 hours in the bottling bucket lets bubbles rise and any remaining wax flecks float — what you dispense from the gate is clean, presentable retail honey.
What it pairs with
Add a stainless double sieve over the bucket while filling for the cleanest finish. The Deluxe Bottling Kit on this site bundles the bucket with a gate and three strainer screens if you want everything in one purchase.
