Plastic queen introduction cage by JZ-BZ for safely introducing mated queens to a colony. Slide the cage between two frames in the brood nest with the candy tube pointing up. Worker bees eat through the candy over 2-3 days, giving them time to acclimate to the new queen's pheromones before she's released. The thin profile fits cleanly between frames without tools, pins, or rubber bands — a key advantage over bulkier wooden cages. Also useful for temporarily banking queens or transporting them between yards. Sold individually.
