Honey Supers That Work Harder
A medium super's job is to give bees space to ripen and cap honey. Temperature stability helps. Bees spend less energy maintaining optimal evaporation conditions when the box walls help buffer the outside environment — both the cold nights that slow ripening in spring and the mid-summer heat spikes that can drive moisture content up.
The Apimaye medium super pairs seamlessly with Apimaye deep boxes using the same snap-fit system. It also stacks cleanly with additional mediums if you're running a honey-super-only system on top of your brood boxes.
A Note on Frame Compatibility
These boxes are sized for standard 10-frame Langstroth medium frames — the most common size in the US. They are not compatible with 8-frame equipment. Premier triple-wax medium frames or Puracell medium foundation work perfectly here.
