What it is
A liquid concentrate of free-form amino acids and B vitamins from Honey-B-Healthy / MB Brands, intended to supplement protein nutrition when natural pollen is scarce — late summer dearth, early spring before pollen flows, or any period when colonies show reduced brood-rearing.
When colonies need it
Honey bees normally get their protein and vitamins from pollen. During Arkansas's late-summer dearth (typically late June through August) and during early spring before significant pollen is available, colonies may underperform on brood-rearing and adult longevity. Amino-B Booster is designed to fill that nutritional gap when feeding sugar syrup alone is not enough.
How to use it
Add to syrup or 1:1 sugar water at the rate specified on the bottle (typically 1-2 teaspoons per gallon). Pair with pollen substitute patties (AP23 sold separately on this site) for a more complete protein supplementation strategy.
Notes
Not a substitute for natural pollen — it supplements when natural pollen is limited. Strongest impact is during periods of natural pollen scarcity, not during heavy spring or fall pollen flows.
